About Me

Hi there,
I`m an Australian romance writer and writing under the names of S E Gilchrist and Suzanne Gilchrist. After several years traveling around Australia and Asia, I settled in the beautiful Hunter Valley, Australia where I raised my family and now live with my two dogs.

Years of loving the written word eventually led me to trying my hand at writing my own stories. I combine heart-warming romance with adventure and suspense and write across different genres including science fiction, apocalyptic and contemporary small town. Often my stories are set in exciting locations and I`ve drawn on my experiences of living in the outback when plotting my rural romances.

Several books have been shortlisted in writing contests and I`m also the author of the best-selling space-opera, erotic romance series, the Darkon Warriors (Legends of the Seven Galaxies).

I co-run Hunter Romance Writers, a local face-to-face writing group with my good friend, Sandie James. I have also organised several group writing ventures, including the Amazon best-selling, Bindarra Creek Romance series, the Deadly Forces series and the Mindalby Outback Romance series.

My novels are published by - Escape Publishing (Harlequin Australia) and myself.
When not at my day job or writing, I love spending time with family and friends. I also take a keen interest in the environment and love bush walking.
